For me it works. It is strange, ethereal, and a bit scary like some of Piet's more unusual images. I like it a lot, but my interest is stuck to the creatures themselves. There almost seems too much dark area on the right side that I can't look at because I keep going back to Them.

Want to explain this? I am curious and it is mysterious.

I love spiders, but finding that spider among the moths gave me chills

I'm fairly clueless about symbolism and abstracts and my first impulse was to trim a bit from the right side, but it didn't work. Seems to need all the unexplained emptiness.

Fascinating and creative, Dan!

Not much to explain really. Saw this cluster of mummified insects trapped between window glass and some formerly pink insulation that, along with dirt, had sun bleached to silver-grey-blacks. Left the bug cluster bright as the detail seemed to show better then tapered the dark into pretty much where it was. I haven't paper printed this yet so have no idea if the dark areas need adjustment. Want to keep the surroundings so this doesn't become just a bug picture.

Thanks Linda. No symbolism intended here, just dead bugs surrounded by weathered insulation that caught my eye. Granted, wish that the surroundings had better balance but....

Very interesting composition. At first it didn't work...then a second look and it did...then a third look. Hey, if a photo makes you look more than once, it has something going for it. Right?

A great find and nicely processed - think I'd use the two bigger moths in Ps as tall, ghostly, alien beings with thin arms and flowing robes!

living once again
in nightmares sent by spiders
our dreams awakening

now seeking comfort
enticed by warmth not theirs
trapped between light

in funeral shrouds
into eternal darkness sink
pale ghostly creatures

OK, I'll give an "A+" for the poetry. I hope there's a photo to go with it.

My error.
I thought you were going to do a further iteration of the posted photo. I was rather looking forward to it.
