I seem to sync a catalog with my iPad just fine. That is the pictures all seem to be there. But, when I work with them on my iPad off line, many of the pictures do not pop into focus. the timing ring just circles....

....any fixes for this? thanks

FIX? Probably not because LR Mobile does not sync the full version of the image - you get a smart preview of your image on your mobile device, so it will be smaller lower resolution so it can fit on your device.

I realize that LR Mobile doesn't have access to the full file. But, shouldn't it at least look like it is focused (without processing circle going constantly)? thanks for any help

That would depend, since it is only a smart preview basically it will not have anywhere near the resolution of the complete file. Not sure why it is "processing" so long though.

I use LR Mobile only to automatically sync shots wirelessly from my phone to my computer - no way would I try to edit images on my phone.

Sounds like you have a sync problem. Perhaps you closed out Lightroom on your computer before the sync completed?

Images should look fine on iPad.
