That is a very interesting shot. I think in softer light it would be outstanding. BTW, to me, it looks more like an open pit copper mine than a gravel pit.

This is a cool shot, and would be an abstract without the vehicle, which changes everything. Lots of great color and detail for anyone taking the time to download this layer cake and study it. Agree with the comment about better light being your friend some other day if it's possible.
This looks more like a stone quarry or an open pit copper mine to me than it does a gravel pit. Aside form that, yes, I think there's some beauty there.
Just proves that if we look carefully beauty can be found everywhere. Well done.

Like the colors and texture. The truck really gives it scale.
I like this shot. Color, impact, thoughtful composition, well exposed. I'm not sure about different light. Consider slight decrease in exposure on the rocks just to the left of the truck?
