This is a sale for the fairly scarce and classic Vivitar Series 1 200mm F3 VMC version for Pentax K mount #2881254 made by Komine. Takes 72mm filters and close focus to just under 4 feet. Comes with Hoya metal lens hood and generic front and rear caps - unless I find the original Series 1 front cap. This is a great lens.
CONDITION: Is EXC+ (9) having been cleaned and tested by me. There are no cosmetic or functional issues to mention.
$150 PayPal includes shipping to continental US. Thanks for stopping by Pentax fans !
Of the list of third party mfrs making lenses for Vivitar (Vivitar never made any lenses, but were a marketing company of photo gear) The Komine were near top of the heap.
This lens adapted to 4/3 (olympus and panasonic mirrorless) would give an equivalent 35mm focal length of 400 mm. Superb Glass. Owned a few Komine lenses over time.
While it will fit a Pentax K mount (manual focus) a longer focal length result would be achieved mounted with adaptor to mirrorless 4/3.
While often confused with the Kiron/Kino Precision and Lester Dine dental optical lenses, the Komine ranked alongside the Kino as equal in image quality.
Here is the SN chart (first two digits for the mfrs making Vivitar branded lenses in the 70's) 28 denotes Komine. Hella price for 400mm equivalent on mirrorless of this quality.
