love these little birds. when the chicks are born if you get too close momma will get away from them and fake a broken wing to draw you or a predator away and then when you are far enough away she will go back to the chicks

It's a Kildeer, however nice shot. We had one laying eggs in our driveway once, and she put up quite a fuss every time we moved our cars out. We saw the eggs quite a few days and then they disappeared. We think a snake finally got them. It's a tough life being a bird!

Thanks! I usually use the Cornell U. Merlin bird ID on my phone, but the last few times I couldn't find ID the bird.
