For those who haven't heard, one of the best photographers around, who provided excellent reviews and commentary, has passed into the mystery. Michael Reichman was a nice guy with a great sense of humor, who founded Luminous Landscape, led photo tours all over the globe, and often made us laugh. He was 71 when his long struggle with cancer was finally lost. He was quoted here on UHH countless times, and as I recall, he entered into discussions here from time to time.
I was just about to apply for his web site. It is a site that costs monthly. Does any one know if it will continue? This is a real loss to photographers.
I wish him the same. His Web-site I have visited for useful information. May it survive his passing.

RIP fellow shutter bug.
It is always very sad when one of our family of UHHers passes away. There have been several over the last few years so we must all keep up with each other. RIP brother.

Chris and I are committed to keeping Luminous-Landscape moving forward as a resource for photographers, as well as to growing the Endowment. Our passion for what we do is now stronger than ever. Our promise to Michael was to make sure his legacy lived on.
If you wish to make a donation in his memory then please do so at the Endowment site. A small private service of close friends and family will be held late next week. Chris and I plan to hold a Memorial for the photographic community in honor of Michael and we will announce those plans here in the future.
Donations to the Endowment can be made here. Or if you wish you may send a check payable to The Luminous-Endowment atLuminous-Endowment
