I finished the post processing on last weeks wedding. i go back and 'play'. I did this one and posted to the gallery. i have a few more to do, I used OnOne, portrait Pro and EFX Silver. these are just extras that I throw in the collection for them to have something different.

Bobbee, this is a perfect example of where I run into problems with captured photos, vs. posed.

My mentor always would blow a gasket if I showed him a kiss photo, with the bride's nose behind the groom's. He always stated that "nobody cares about the groom, cover as much of his face as possible"

I would say that better than 90% of my un-posed, grabbed in the moment shots are exactly as yours.

I'm really not critiquing it, but it seems all but impossible to get people to tilt their heads the opposite direction without guidance.

All in all, I like the shot, and the effects are growing on me. Just wanted to toss out the "rule" Jim used to yell at me about, it is something to consider when doing reenactments, vs. in the moment.

You have a good suggestion. Before the wedding, in our first meet and the morning while we are snapping away at the prep I tell them about the ring, the kiss, the cake (although I am there for that) and the three dances. I actually follow it up with, if you hear a whistle, it is me and I want you to be aware I am taking an important picture of you and I want you to turn and smile at me.

Except for the whistle, they get it all wrong!!!! LOL As my recently departed sister-in-law loved to say 'It is what it is.' Here is the photo I show all my couples of what I think is the perfect kiss.

no kiss is the perfect kiss
no kiss is the perfect kiss...

EXACTLY, I always want "almost, but not quite kissing, and absolutely no "fish face" VERY nice capture.

As for the other shots, if they are spontaneous, there isn't much you can do, but figure there are some "lurkers" out there that might never have heard some of the words of wisdom that I had pounded in my head all those years ago.
