Sorry folks, its me again. I was sitting on my back porch when manna from heaven landed right in front of me. A red dragon, taken with 100mm macro again hand held, no time for tripod. I cropped to see the wing structure, absolutely amazing!

I've always had good luck with taking photos of dragonflies and damselflies. They are quite plentiful where I live . I have a shot of a big green darner actually devouring a blue darner, was in a field walking around and heard a really audible "thwack", turned around and saw something falling the grass, went over and there was the big green guy eating the blue guy. I'll try to find the shot and put it on. The big green darners are incredible hunters.

Very, very good shoots. May I ask, "What equipment was used?"

I used a Canon 7d with 100mm Macro.
