Welcome to Day 128 :) The challenge for today is Heavenly Landscapes. That could mean a beautiful field with a tree and mist in the background, or a waterfall,
or someone's gorgeous yard. Anything that makes you stop and think .. now that's pretty .. when you see it.
I decided for my part I would go to the Holy Trinity Monastery .. they have historic buildings and 139 acres of land that they farm, bird sanctuary, etc.
Here are my examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

Wow, those birds are all over the place! Love to see them arrive in the spring, hate to see them arrive inthe fall.
A ray of sunshine in a threatening sky. This was taken at a beach on the Isle of Wight in the UK
Great selections so far...congrats y'all. Fred Ann, where are you when we need you?
Saturday I drifted on over to a special place which is kept top secret because my pod 'n I gather ''ail des bois'' or I think, Wild Garlic or Wild Leeks or something in the spring. These grow in a mixed hardwood forest, below in humid ground amongst fiddleheads and other mud vegetation and are protected as we can only have 25 in our possession, so we don't brag on our patches. They are nourished by the sun, photosynthesis and assoon as the leaves on the trees come out the die off.
I know this is long but I hope you enjoy the story. This is a scaned photo so it's not very good.
This is my "Smile From Heaven" that grew in my flower bed in July 2003. I noticed it on July 4th the first holiday we had without both our parents. A sad day for me was made cheerful by seeing this sunflower. I call it my miracle flower because I didn't plant it. The birds did while I was caring for my father that was given 6 monts to live the first of Jan. There were so many things that had to come together for this to be so unique. There were no seeds taken from the flower and I was lucky to get a picture of the bee in the center of the flower. Sorry this scaned picture does not show it. I didn't know it was there when I took the picture but I'm glad it was. It made me sure that the bees had to design or draw the face. Do bees draw? I know God was looking down on me that day because so many thing had to happen to make it so unique. Having so much to do I would have not gone to my flower bed that day. We had to go to my brother's house to get our grill. Most of the time I would have stayed at home. and I saw it when we turned into the driveway. The birds planting the seed at the right time. The bees making the design. No seed removed from the flower. It's head not drooped over but raised to the sky at 12 noon. Me going with my husband to get our grill. Most of the time I would have stayed at home. Me looking that way at just the right time. I wrote down some thoughts on my way home from church and I am hoping I can write a song about my "Smile From Heaven". I have never written a song but again I have never seen a sunflower with a smiley face. If it's God's will he will give me the music and the words.
I love the way children think. My oldest grand-son is always having such deep thoughts for his age. The next year when he was four he asked me was I going to grow some more sunflowers with smiley faces. I told him no because that will be the only smiley face he will ever see on a sunflower.
He wrote a song a few weeks ago and he was only 11 then. He had written the words and had gotten a picture of a cross with a beautiful background to put them on. I sat down and tried to put some music to it. While we were working on the music he let me know real fast that it wasn't Jesus it was Jes - us. Maybe I can get him to help me.
