Hello , everyone.
My name is Charlton Larca, However my nickname is "Hobbycam"
That name was made up of two words. hobby and camera, therefor "hobbycam
I am a hobbiest (if that is a real word.
My journey started 1959, when my father and uncle built a darkroom for me
and my Uncle gave me a "Yashica J" 35mm camera. I was os very excited and read
and experimented with the chemicals and film as well as all the books I could find at the time.
I also decided to keep it fun, as my Uncle advised. So I did not go professional, just kept it as a hobby,
and absorbed as much as I could. I still do so today in my retirement. I just have more time to
spend on my passion. I have found that after all of these years, I have landed on "landscapes" as a canvas.
Between my father, uncle and sister, I have the following:
Not to boast, just commenting on how my hobby has paid for itself, It is by no means a bussiness.
This way I can and always keep it fun.
One more thing, I do plan on becoming an active part of Ugly HedgHog.
I have not been very active in the past because of my work.
Retired now and more time to be active on a forum that is part of my hobby.
