While we were in Depoe Bay. Oregon we saw these boats ,go out and mess about . Later they came in , one towing the other. Later they did it again.
That's when we knew it was an exercise. The view is from the back yard of our hotel.

I'm glad they do! Twice I've had need of their services, once off a sinking vessel.

Thankfully they continue on practicing for it makes it so much easier when they have to go out and tow for real in extremely bad weather. As a member of the CG Auxiliary we have gone out and practiced with them many times. They would tow us and then we would tow them. Looks like they are going into a fairly narrow channel which can be dangerous with any wave action. Great capture. Mahalo for sharing.
