A village in West Bengal.

Patients attending a travelling clinic, set up in a school building, for health checks.

This is beautiful, Graham. Besides the wonderful colour and clarity .. making me feel like I am there .. you have composed this so well. There is a diagonal from the lady in orange the corner of the table, and then another diagonal of ladies making a line to the next room. The whole thing works together, and at the same time it is very clear that your subject is the young female Indian doctor. These images you have captured in India need to be in a book.

What you have shown and what I know from experience is that these ladies have worn their absolute best to the clinic. Their attire is colorful and shows how much they respect themselves as well as those who will give them health checks. Your composition shows a palate of striking bold colors against a soft, quiet, well contrasted building facade. Perspective is spot-on!

The faces tells the story. Especially the nurse.

Great "slice of life" shot. It must be tricky shooting dark-skinned people - their features will disappear into the shadows so easily. You managed to avoid it but I can see how easily that would happen, especially in bright sunshine. I once said jokingly that some HDR processing might be the answer.....

Oh wow Graham, another classic image. The comments preceding describe your photographic accomplishment well and I would like to address my transcendent message. The concentration of the nurse checking blood pressure, the scale for checking weight, the patience of the line waiting to be seen(I guess that's why they are referred to as patients) all reflect all reflect our shared need for someone to turn to for our health problems. The nurse is serious and concerned and we all wish that attitude for our own health care providers.
