I would like to know if anyone is using Afinity Software for their editing needs? I've done a search and it came up with a thread from March with only 7 posts and not much info. Again thanks in advance.

I use it. It is very powerful. It does not catalog, so I use the Affinity tools as extensions in Photos and use the Photos cataloging. There are many tutorials on the Affinity web site.
It's on my radar of apps to try. It gets GREAT reviews in the Mac trade press.
Right now, I'm editing my niece's wedding photos in SilkyPix, Lightroom, and Photoshop. SilkyPix comes with Panasonic LUMIX cameras as their raw editor. It's actually quite powerful, but the interface is frustrating. Lightroom is powerful with a great interface, but doesn't do all of what SilkyPix does. And I still need a pixel editor... (Photoshop). So I bounce around a bit...
Glad to see this thread. I've been looking at Affinity for a bit & will probably download the trial version this week. I've tried Corel and Photoshop; no success with layers and both had some things that didn't make much sense.
I realize there is a learning curve with any new software package but I'd like to commit to one package without paying each month. I'll keep everyone posted on how I do.
