Yep, nesting in the flower pot right in front. The owner of the store cordoned it off hopefully eliminating foot traffic

She already has. According to the owner, there is an egg, (or possibly more) where she is nesting. I saw the mate out in the parking lot just strolling around.

How far is the nearest pond? Once hatched, the goose will need to escort her goslings to water.

If she's already chosen that spot for a nesting place she probably doesn't care about the foot traffic, but it's really nice the owner gave her a bit of her own space in the midst of a concrete jungle. I hope you go back for another six-pack so you can let us know how it works out :)

The nearest body of water is about a half mile away Nikonian. One can only hope she makes it with her brood. Makes me wonder just why she chose that place simply because of the heavy foot traffic.

Yes, I was a little more than surprised Erv when I stopped in and saw her in the planter. Every time I go somewhere I throw a camera in my SUV simply because you never know when something like this will happen.
