Hi UHH friends; I haven't done this in a while but I would like to see what all you post processors can do with this simple image of a piece of driftwood thrown on top of red-pebbled pavement by a lawnmower. Nothing is off limits from the truly beautiful to the bizarre. I hope you join me in this one. Downloads available.

I went in a few directions before I ended up here, so there were more steps and layers than necessary. The final look is Silver Efex film noir, but that is on top of a yellowed b&w, more detail, slight crop and more.

Thanks, Jim!

Very very nice R.G., you've added nice highlights that give the concrete the impression of being flecked in gold and the driftwood looks as though it might be adorned with Foxfire. I really like it.

I love it Linda, you took what was a complex image and simplified it to give it more character; very very nice my friend!

I think you accomplished your goal Roadking, you put it back in during a red tide. Love the workup my friend and thanks for joining in.

Very very interesting take on this RBorud; I can see all sorts of possibilities with your workup here. One thought that immediately came to mind was an invasion by a parasite that was destroying everything including the background. I really like your work on this RBorud and appreciate your time and work. Thanks for playing along.
