The emoticons are coming across as text and not as objects. This observed on an iPad Air 2.

Old ones or new ones? The code has changed. So old posts would show text instead of images. But please let me know if you see it in the new posts.

Click the "Preview" button before you send and you will see the emoticons displayed in all their glory. You needed to do this in the old layout before you could see them too.

In the Chit Chat section in the "Selfie Gone Wrong ...." thread in the 4th post down there was " :thumbup: " in text.

Perhaps the issue is there is no :thumbup: as the real thumbup smilie has sm24 between the : : marks. So a posting error maybe.

The old syntax was :thumbup:. The parser no longer recognizes that code. The new code is "sm24". Old pages will probably all show text now.
