While in Utah last week I picked up a book for a self guided driving tour of barns north of Salt Lake City. So many more to see! Will have to make another trip one of these days.

They are close by IF you live in Utah. I was staying in Salt Lake City and put 1200 miles on my rental car driving south and north to find the ones I did and then back tracking to see one that I had passed without noticing! But what a fun couple of days it was; driving a cool GMC SUV rental and being by myself so that I could stop when and where I wanted to without having to worry about what a passenger was thinking!

Excellent collection! A great way to travel and explore. My wife and I turn our travels into treasure hunts by looking for light houses, covered bridges, waterfalls and wildlife.

Mabarker, When I go out on a photo safari I too like to travel alone. There is nothing quite like being the master or misstress of your travel destiny. I was out for 11 days a few years ago and the freedom from other's schedules is wonderful. You got some great barn shots! Now it's time to play in Photoshop or whatever program you use. I, we would love to see the results. Congratulations. Roger

Roger, you have my permission to play with my barn photos in PS...I don't have the time right now. The yard work keeps calling me from the computer!

Really like them all but the one with the split rail fence is my favorite. It won't be there much longer as the roof is gone. The grain barn has an interesting roof.

Your second image of the Tate Barn is truly magnificient, allowing me to take in the:

eye-candy, explore the architecture, consider the amount of real wood in this barn, take in the unusual composition, get lost in the repetition, feel the textures, and hear the music....
