This is my first sighting of new family of Eagles this year, and also a photo of a few elks in the evening.
New family of Eagles
Evening Elk
In the first image exposure seems fine but apparently the focus fell over the branches instead of the eagle. Also the branch in the foreground crosses the eagles head becoming an unwanted distraction.
Second one suffers from very flat light, poor contrast and underexposure. Is also so far away that is impossible to see any details. The observer must believe by blind faith that those are indeed elks and not other type of animal. Try to get a bit more closer next time or use a some zoom to fill the image more with your subject. What lens what use there?
The lens use on the second picture was a Sigma 550mm and the picture was taken from 2500 yards. It was around 7:30 PM and slightly raining.
