I went and got a piece of Maple for the pole of the new bird feeder. I turned it last night and got it stained too. Now I have get it planted.:):) I made it 6 feet long and have to cut some off the top. But I think I will have to put it in the ground pretty deep as heavy as it is.

The squirrels would love it at my house. I can't use anything anymore to keep them out of the old feeder.

Erv....just exactly how big is your bird feeder...? you could hang the space shuttle from that.

Nice work.

That's how big that bird feeder is, you said it was big but the pics you put up didn't really show it. Uh, any feed stores nearby, in farming country prices should be better than here in the city? Sam's club and Walmart sell bird feed in 50 lb bags. Pennington Brand (endorsed by Cornell Univ Lab of Ornithology), it is coated with a vitamin/mineral additive. And even comes in a version with Wild Cherry flavor added. I may go back to the unflavored, the flavored goes too fast.

I agree with Adicus and must say that your freshly mown lawn looks pretty darned good to, Erv !

By the looks of things, you must be feeling much better and keep up the good work that you do with just about everything you lay your hands upon !

LOL! Yes we have lots of them. I made the feeder pretty heavy hoping they can't do to much damage. But this will be the 8th feeder for them to try.:):)
