I was visiting a friend's farm when I saw these two Peacocks battling for a female's attention. Canon 60D EF 28-135mm @135mm sports mode. The camera selected F 5.6 ISO 1250 1/1327
wow thats some shutter speed you got there, good shot! that one is like 5" off the ground!
Great shot.
I wished that I could find some place here in New England to shoot Peacocks. I have a dream of designing and building a sizable stained glass peacock piece from one of my own shots

The peacocks don't fly well but I have seen them fly to the top of power poles and grain bins 20 - 30 feet high. I have also seen them fly across a lake about a hundred yards across.

I just typed "new england zoo peacock" into google. Several locations appear to have these birds in their collections. Try it. You may find something near to you.
P.S. I have lots more peacock photos let me know if you would like a few.
Serious discussion... Nicely done

Thank you for the Google search info. I had tried to do a search last week, but came up empty handed when I searched for peacock farms. I never thought to search under zoos.
As much as I would love to accept your offer of some shots, there is a problem using someone else's original pictures to create a stained glass work from, that might be offered for sale in the future. It has to do with ethics and copyrighting.
So, if I spend the time, to first photograph the peacocks, then design the window from my own shot, I will never have a problem if I ever offer it for sale.

Very good. I thought you would reply something like that.
Peacocks seem to be native to the Midwest. I don't know about your part of the country. I guess I could google that. ;-) I have seen them locally at a zoo, a wildlife park and free to come and go at this farm. The owners put out cracked corn to encourage them and several other species of wild birds to hang around.
