Email set up

Are there any experts who can help me please - I have been a virgin.net email user for years and years, now virgin have decided that as they have gone completely cable in this area, we are no longer going to be able to use the virgin network they have passed us on to another company who have told us we have to create a new email address.

The problem I am having is that all my business cards, letterheads etc etc, in fact everything I do has the virgin.net tag on them.

My first question is - is it possible to set up another email address with a different provider and still use virgin.net as part of the address, although, of course, it will be with a different provider?

I know setting up a new email address is relatively easy, but how do I send this new address to thousands of customers all at once without it blocking my system completely, (providing I am not able to use the virgin.net address as part of my email.

Do I need a professional to set this all up for me or can I do it myself without too much hassle?

I am a Mac user.

Thanks hogs.

Linda

If the virgin.net server goes away you will have to tell everyone your new email address. Otherwise, until that time, you MAY be able to set up a forwarder with your virgin.net account to your new email address.

Setup with a new service, I've been using Gmail for years with no problem, but you choose what you like. Then follow the instruction with the new service to forward your old email to your new email. It can also be set up that when you get an old email sent to your new account it will automatically send out a reply to that email account letting them know of the change of address. You can use your own special named account if you open an account with a system like Godaddy or any of the others out there.
