Where do you buy matted frames for prints? I am looking for a 12x18 print and 11x14 print. Any good online stores?

Most big box stores sell them like Walmart Kmart. You can buy them as a single unit or frame the size you want and a mat that comes in most any color you want. It may be better if you go to a frame shop but the cost is much more..

I use Hobby Lobby. Ton of frames to choose from and lots of different colored mats.

I use Golden State Art(www.goldenstateart.com) for 8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 14 prints. Their wooden frames come in packages of six with the mats, but you have to buy the plain backing sheets if you want one. As I recall they are in packages of 50. Single, double, and I think triple mats are available in a variety of colors.
My only reservation is that they have a plastic, not glass, front panes; once the protective sheet is removed you have to be careful about scratching them. But at about $11.00 each for the 16 x 20 frame size (11x14 print) with mat, I can live with the plastic. If I absolutely have to have glass, I can have one cut by a local glass shop.

The store around here doesn't; it must be up to the local management to decide what they should stock and can sell.

If you are wanting to get something matted and framed first thing what is it? Is it something special to you or of value print wise. If you answer yes to either of those then I will mention other things with having worked in picture framing.
