Very politically incorrect, and, you need to be able to laugh at yourself, but saying all that, it is funny. No country is exempt from the "Mickey Taking". It is good to be able to laugh at yourself, as well as others. In England we have a saying "If you can't laugh at yourself, don't laugh at others".

ALERTS TO THREATS IN 2014 EUROPE
From JOHN CLEESE [John Cleese was one of the Monty Python gang]

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia , meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be right, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is cancelled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level.

Regards,
John Cleese ,
British writer, actor and tall person

And as a final thought - Greece is collapsing, the Iranians are getting aggressive, and Rome is in disarray. Welcome back to 430 BC.

Not funny AND in the wrong section. So the new rule is post whatever you want in whatever section you like as long as it is funny. In other forums such behavior would merit a ban, repeated times like a lot love doing here would merit a permaban.

My goodness, Chaman. Based on the OP's comment, is it possible that you're just on Holiday in Puerto Rico, and that you actually call Scotland home?

Really? It says introduce yourself as the title section.....unless in your planet or parallel universe says otherwise. Mind explain what the title section has to do with the post? Lets see what absurd reason you come up with.

Nice try. Nope. Its this too frequent "error" of posting things where ever with a total disregard to order or any rule. Gets tiresome. I bet you a few bans will correct this "error" quickly and efficiently.

Pity about your sense of order and will to follow rules and guidelines.

rogerl, though I enjoyed the content of your post, less than two hours ago when I clicked on it, your post WAS, in fact, located in the Introduce Yourself section.

As for your comment to chaman, evidently one of the Hog's newest self-appointed policemen, "Pity about your sense of humour", you are spot on!

But as a newbie, you don't realize the tragedy within the non-photographic portions of this Forum. Humor, among other topics, is not considered to be protected free speech. This site, like most websites, is privately owned. My writing this might even provoke the "automated" program to kick this whole Topic of yours up into the attic (not that I want that, but that "automated" program is incredibly sensitive to such remarks,) where no person whose beliefs are even slightly to the left of Attila the Hun trolls for long.

Policemen? If you behave like an idiot and I happen to get a glimpse I may say something. If I like a more decent and ordered place to discuss photography call me whatever your sad excuse for a brain wants. Could care less.

Correct! By the way, compared to chaman, your simple comment, "Wrong forum section" seriously makes you, in this category, a paragon of virtue.
