Welcome to Day 126 :) Today we are going to take a look at Architecture. Any kind of architecture.... whether it's new and modern, just the details, or old and falling down... it all counts. Since this is Cinco De Mayo weekend I decided to concentrate on Spanish Architecture. Here are a few examples to get us started. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

I can't remember if I've posted this before. If so, I apologize... It's part of the interior of St John's Cathedral, on a hill overlooking the city. Some of these days I'll take some more photos, including its exterior.

Here is a whole range. Expect someone has the Pyramids and Stonehenge. I have gone from Modern to Ancient. The Angel Hotel was sold fairly recently* for just Ten Pounds. (about $16.oo) Abbotts Hospital has some wonderful features including a very early water clock and a stained glass window made about 1300 A.D. It is in the chapel. *By local standards 1527 A.D. is considered fairly recent.........

Here is the story. In many villages around here houses are built as such, sideways to the road and in some cases, angles differ. For years I’ve been asking myself the ‘’why’’ of this, thinking maybe that the lot wide enough to build the house in a normal fashion but yesterday I found the answer. Houses were built like that so as the minimum of the structure was exposed to the predominant winds, hence reducing heating bills….Jim the Digger

The closest to anything Spanish around here are the Mexican workers who come up yearly.Have no problem with this as there is not a student standing who could follow these guys during one work day. They are GOOD. The second thing we have is a fancy restaurant that has huevos rancheros on their menu and if I compare with the ones I've eaten elsewhere, Mexico and Texas, sumpin' is wrong cuz the two do not even begin to look alike.
