LastPass Question

I asked this a few months ago, and I'm asking it again.

I use LastPass for my passwords, and it works great. However, my bank wants three entries for logging on: acc't #, P/W, and four digits. In the past, LastPass was able to do this on one computer but not on the other. Now it won't do it on either. I don't know why it worked before but not now. Looking online hasn't helped.

I tried leaving off the four digit number, but that hasn't helped. It wants to put the P/W there.

I use Last Pass also, but I haven't encountered this yet. Will be interested to see if there is a solution forthcoming!

I can understand it not working, since it doesn't save three pieces of info. What surprises me is that it worked for so long on my other computer.

Jerry, I've used LP for the last 4-5 years. My bank also requires a multiple entry security approach to access my account. My financial passwords are not managed by LP. I do that intentionally. Probably more paranoia than need be, but then that's just me.

You might consider writing to their tech support and raise the issue with them directly. It would be interesting to see their response.

Maybe they changed the "title" name for the 3rd field? You could look into adding a special field name.

I use LP and find it doing less and less after they did their "cosmetic" changes. About all its does for me now is to store passwords.

I've searched their databases, but found nothing about filling three lines. Since I have the free version, I wouldn't want to call them, although I don't even know if they have phone support. They have a premium version of the program, but that has an annual fee. I might buy it if it were a one-time charge.

Jerry, it looks like they've gone the route of customer non-support. I checked their site and the place I remember them having a support email address is no longer there.

It looks like they don't wish to support their users.

I have a few accts that require a "pin". And I just tried one and it works. When I 'edit' the LP acct I see under "view more fields" a field with "table:row1:pin1". Which contains my pin... So it I s looking for the word "pin". What is the name of the field that doesn't work?

In the late '90 worked for a local internet company and people who had forgot their p/w would call. I would reset to "U_ID10TS" and not too many people would react.

The pay version allows you to add additional password fields. The free version may not allow this. I use the pay version on all of my computers and cell phones and have been very satisfied.

You have seen the joke (I'm sure). Where the guy at the keyboard gets the message: "Enter New Password". And he enters: "penis". And the response is: "not long enough"

I don't use "LastPass", or any other app., but one I am interested in is called Dashlane (https://www.dashlane.com) One password, kept solely in your head, is used for all sites.

Have you any thoughts on it?
