When compiling a list of places in America where Ghosts are Most Frequently found, prisons and jails are high on the list. The amount of trauma, pain and terror experience by men who are incarcerated often leaves a lasting impression behind. The horrible events that occur in some of these places cause the spirit of the men who lived and died here to linger behind as well. Jails and prisons can be terrifying places -- for those in this world and the next!

Did you hear or see anything? I would love to go there and other prisons across the country. With a camera of course!

Excellent shot. You really captured the eeriness(sp) of the whole scene. Great work. How did you get permission to get the shot?

The trip there was uneventful,but just stepping into the place you could feel the negative energy.Laurie,ESP is a must visit especially if you are interested in photography or the paranormal.

Thanks a lot Billybuzz! They have daily tours there and photography is permitted. What a great place for photography.

I don't know where this prison is located, but I have toured the 'old' territorial prison in Deer Lodge, Montana. The conditions as they were then makes one wonder if crime today would be less. The prison in Deer Lodge is open to the public with self-guided or guided tours available. There is also an 'old car' museum located adjacent and is available for the price of admission.
The state of Montana built the present day state prison in the same town, and on the day the new one was ready to receive its residents, they were moved and the old one was pretty much left 'as is'. I have heard of the new prison referred to as the country club as compared to the old one.

The penitentiary is located in Philadelphia,PA. It is a great historic place to visit.
