Pls. Help w/ Lightroom 5 Develop Module

I'm having a problem with lightroom 5 that just started and I don't know how to correct it. When I go into the Develop Module and do anything image (let's say increase the exposure slider) the image turns grey (like 50% grey in PS) and the navigator window goes blank. If I go back out to Library module I see the image again and the adjustment. I can go back into Develop Module and then see the adjustment there image. Bottomline, If I make an adjustment in the Develop module the image turns grey, the Navigator window goes blank and I can not see the adjustment until I go out of the develop module and then back in. And when I go back in and additional adjustment the same thing happens.

Help

Is your use GPU checked in the performance settings of the preferences pane? If it is checked, uncheck it and try the develop module again.

So that would be (for Lightroom 5):

Edit->Preferences-> [select tab]: General?, Presets?, External?, File Handling?, Interface?, Lr Mobile?.

Under which tab is performance listed?

Thanks

Edit => Preferences, then click on the performance tab.

Might be my mistake - In Lightroom 6 you can set the GPU on or off for performance... perhaps 5 is not that way?

Edit- Yep, my mistake, the GPU use under performance is for Lightroom 6 and CC, not Lightroom 5.

Are you sure your lightroom is as current as it can be? Is it 5.0 or 5.5? Possibly 5.7?

I think that is as high as you can go without buying a new version. Have you talked to Adobe support yet?

Others have had good luck with Adobe support.
