I photograph this section of wood on a regular basis and last week spotted this large fallen tree that I reckon could have come down in our storms of 1987.
Decided to shoot it (even though it was already dead) then yesterday evening loaded it into Photoshop to make basic adjustments, then started to think wouldn't it be nice if I could bring it back to life even bigger than it was before.
And this is the final result, it is meant to be dream like as that is exactly what I was doing, dreaming.
Would be interested in your views and critiques good or bad. Thanks

Excellent Simon love the textures and colour, certainly brought it back to life.
The Kraken Wakes. You were lucky to get out of there alive :-) .
Simon, that is so cool! Love it!
I greatly admire your imagination and unique abilities, Simon! Terrific creativity and interest in this piece.
It looks like a tree from the enchanted forest, Simon. I like it very much.
Too cool! I suppose someone will now start a religion based on the tree, with the Twelve Saplings as acolytes.
Hallelujah, praise the Tree and pass the collection plate!
Nice work, Simon!

Thanks so much for that Snap Shot
Nice idea my friend I have a problem with the lilac coloured overlay. Fine for the background but not so great covering the tree and foreground. A layer mask and brush needed and then maybe experiment with some colour on the tree but lilac is a no no. A touch of mist would give it mystery.
Just one mans opinon
Great recreation Simon.

You are funny Treepusher, if the tree turns religious, I am off
Thanks for looking and the fun comments
