My wife took this with our 7D and the 100-400 we have.
It was a regional photo contest open to pros and amateurs with no separation.
8 years ago she thought that my camera was too difficult to use for her (10D) but I showed her how easy it was to use. Now she owns the camera and lets me use it. :lol:
Our neighbor is a pro and teaches her and he has done wonders with her confidence. He writes books and teaches Photoshop as well.
So it is not the latest, not the most DR or MP camera made but won anyway.
She won Best of Show and Peoples Choice. Printed 24X30.
Just want to congratulate her.

I can see why she won. It was well-deserved. The image is quite spectacular. One really needs to check out the detail in the download.
