Sad but true that the anti Constitution and liberty thugs out there portray firearms in this manner.
My wife 2 years ago defended herself from a mugger with her pistol and I did so when in School doing a project in a rough neighborhood. We both likely would not be here if we had not been armed. Did not need to shoot just point it at the perp and explain that their life to us is worthless. What is their life worth to them? Works well.

I'm all for guns and using them for personal defense, I have quite a few myself .......
Glad you and your wife made out to your satisfaction as you mentioned, however waving a gun around and talking usually doesn't end well .....just saying !

We are both perfectly willing and able to use the firearm if the perp does not immediately disappear. But unless they are totally high on drugs that will generally stop the aggression.
So you are right it will not end well, for the perp. And no the firearm is not "waved around" but is pointed directly at the perp and is steady with the hammer back, round chambered, safety off and yes finger on the trigger at that point. PS carry cocked and locked, have done so for over 40 years in and out of the service. Yes we train regularly different scenarios and positions.
