Great article. I need a second camera. I have a 5dmii and wait for this model to come out. Now I'm not so sure. I may just get another 5dm2. As a news photographer, the extra two stops is needed but to pay 1300 dollars more when I could just use a 1.4 or a 1.2 lens. I don't know. I agree with the article that the move to the m3 isn't a no-brainer. The 5dmii is a great camera.

Canon did some interesting things to their new Mk. 3.
It accepts an SD card along with the CF card.
The CF pin receptacle is easier to replace if damaged, and the battery compartment is easier to service.
It depends on what your requirements are if you want to spend the extra $1k, or so, for it compared to the Mk. 2.

Thanks for the link. It's this line in the article that troubles me:
Unlike the D800, the 5D Mark III isn't a no-brainer upgrade for 5D Mark II shooters
Really the only feature that really interests me is the two stop increase in ISO. I could buy almost 2 mk2's for the price of one mk3. Doing photojournalism that would give me the option of have two or three cameras with different lens on them ready to go at a moments notice. I'm leaning toward the mk2.
