Critique these shots please so I can improve....
I shot this Osprey w/ a d3200 Nikon 70-300mm lens.
I would like to improve trying to learn using manual mode...
I strongly recommend that you re-post in the
Birds-In-Flight / Birds-On-Water Forum at
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-112-1.html , where you will find fellow UHH members who can provide positive guidance for your situation.
Also when re-posting ensure they are downloadable.

Agreed. Unable to look closely at them when posted in this manner.

If you re-post these and click on "store original" we will be able to find your shooting info such as shutter speed, etc. Birds in flight, even large ones such as the Osprey, are very difficult for even seasoned photographers.
They're good shots, Namwife!
Without the download it's hard to tell, but from these shots the pictures look a little soft to me. But the pole does too which leads me to think camera movement. I'm guessing handheld. With the light that I can see, you could have had a fast shutter speed to both freeze the bird and eliminate shake. But like was said above, without some camera settings we can't help a whole lot with analysis and direction. I do like the composition on the first one especially.
