Have fun trying to make a presentable picture out of this raw (dmg) file. This was taken from the south rim of the Grand Canyon

The link to the DNG file is: http://www.dropbox.com/sh/zvbsobeof3sdaw0/AAAr6e74jobIg0FzTxtq-fvYa?dl=0

You have until midnight, Thursday ET to post them here then we'll turn it in for a vote.

I'll be interested in seeing what you come up with.

Nicely done Andrea.
There is a lot of hidden color in this shot.

Mr Pops I hope I find you well. Working on another nice and normal Grand Canyon shot failed to inspire me fella so totally without your permission I gave it a slightly different treatment. Hope ya do not mind!
Probably will fail to get a vote in the final shoot out but hey I can live with that. Just gotta think outta the box now and again to remain sane.

Billy, I really do like this. It is a very different and creative take on the scene.

Just stuck with a traditional edit, the colors were too nice to give up.

I have to agree with you on this one Minnie. I am not much good with anything outside of the traditional edits but I found myself rather enchanted with the nice colors when I pulled them out. I straightened it but you did a better job of it than I did.

Also pretty much a straight edit. A bit of leveling, pump up the clouds and add drama to the sky. selective sharpening in the foreground and balance the lighting some between the shadows and sunlit areas. Then because I'm an old dog, made it fit a 4:5 format.

Wow! Not to offend anyone, but should I say "old is best"? It really jumps off the page "so to speak". How did you do that? It is now a beautiful photo. I wouldn't mind that hanging on my wall.

Heather, I appreciate your comments they make working on projects like this all the more rewarding and fun. Thank you!

Most of the adjustments were done in ACR with side trips to and from PS. In truth we had a pretty good file to work with.
