I turned to see him heading in my direction. Just had time to check my settings and get one photo - he then flew away.

Great shot. How did you get it from the front? I see many from the side and back, or flying but never head on.

Thanks - it was mere luck! I have plenty of sideways photos - but I was thrilled to see him headed right towards me!

Thanks, Dave. I don't like to offer high-resolution photos for others to use without payment or attribution. I enjoy this blog, and most of the folks on it, but since I don't know what the owners of this blog do or have done with photos, and since the terms of use allow them full rights to do anything they wish with our submissions, I do not give them a high resolution image. Sorry.

Good Point; maybe I should reduce the images I post, but it really seems like extra trouble & work, especially since I don't try to sell very many, and then only at a few local shows or exhibits. If a photo is really different, I just add my name and the copyright mark. I know that only hinders honest people, but at least they have to take the trouble to cover it. and the law says it is still mine.
