An early morning stroll around the property yielded this capture of a mockingbird in a dead tree. I decided to treat it with a charcoal sketch effect and then tone it in sepia. Best enjoyed in download.
I like this, Jim! Very appealing.

So glad you enjoyed this one Linda and thanks for the visit and very nice compliment. It rained hard all night and the light early this morning was that of a freshly washed world. I captured some brilliantly colored flowers that I will post in close up a bit later. Thanks again my friend. :-D

Fine work. Did you do this in Photoshop, or use some other software?

Good morning Dan, I used several software suites for this one this morning. I start out by importing the image into LR5 after some minor adjustments there, I imported to PSE12 and from there called several plugin filters. I used SPE, Macphun Tonal Layering and Macphun FX Studio Pro. The final steps were taken in FX Studio Pro for the framing and for the Sepia tint to the overall sketch. I know that's pretty involved, but the ease of moving in and out of these marvelous programs makes the work both exciting and satisfying. I hope this overly long explanations helps. Regards Jim :-D :-D
