Hi,

Going to large art museum tomorrow. I haven't shot with my digital Olympus E620 in a museum. I know not to use flash, tripod, etc. I won't be shooting paintings - just sculpture and possibly stained glass.

Any advice on settings that has worked for you?

Thanks,

Al

What lens, kit lens? I had a 620 before I upped to the e5. Depending on lighting (which should be pretty decent) try and keep it at Iso 200, going no more than 800. Anything above that and it'll get grainy quickly. I'd shoot in aperture mode, probably shooting wide open. If you don't own it already pick up a 25mm f2.8 pancake lens. That makes for an awesome portable setup that can easily be slung behind a shoulder. I spent a week in chicago with that exact setup. Make sure IS1 is turned on. Are you shooting in RAW or jpg mode?

Best check with museum OFFICIALS prior to shooting anything.
Assume nothing. Some public spaces are really "ouchy.) Remember museums are Private Property--they set the rules.

Thanks. I had already called them earlier in the week to be sure I was doing everything by the book.
