saw it at my nieghbors garage I thought it was a lizzard or it may be somekind of salemander

It's a Skink. There are all different kinds and colors. This is a Broad-headed skink. The male has a bigger brighter, orange head.
Often thought to be venomous, but not so, however, they WILL bite!

Really hard to tell. In the Broad-headed Skink, the mare has a brighter orange head in the spring. The females have some stripes (somewhat like a 5-Stripe Lizard) and the Juveniles have black and brown, with stripes and blue tails.
