In 1963 my Gym/Health teacher told us, "if you take one puff of a marijuana cigarette you will become a heroin addict for the rest of your life." He then show a film short of a crazy guy in a cell running into the bars and walls. Scared the wits out of me.
I told my dad about it and he said, "Ah, I smoked the weed when I was in Texas and it isn't as bad as getting drunk." My dad had done doobie? I've never tried it due to that film I saw; why risk it? ;-)
