Not that I really mind nor do I even care, but do any of you others tend to notice how some of our members will stretch it a bit when attempting to follow the theme of our UHH photo contests ? As an example, our latest contest is entitled "Ceremony", but it seems as though someone could enter a photo of a wet bubble gum wrapper found floating in a mud puddle, give it a title such as "Celebrating wet litter found floating in a mud puddle for the first time this year" and this photograph be accepted in the contest.
To begin, not all celebrations are ceremonies, and to take it one step further, even if any celebration is permitted to qualify as a ceremony, how does a wet bubble gum wrapper qualify as something deserving of either a celebration or a ceremony ?
Anyway, if you don't believe that which I am saying, please take a look at some of the photographs many of our members have entered into our UHH photo contest entitled "Ceremony" and then you make up your own mind about whether or not some of the photographs that are entered qualify as a ceremony.
Well, I must go now because I am thinking about heading outdoors to photograph our fruit bearing cherry tree that is in full bloom and I may very well enter a photograph of it later on today with a title of "celebrating my cherry tree blooming this year !" :):):):)

If you do, I'll vote for it... :-D
addendum, had a peak at the entries and by my count there are 4.5 shots out of 18 that follow the theme. The morning coffee is not a ceremony, it is a ritual. Just sayin.

Looking back, I realize this is my fault more than anything where I assumed everyone knew what ceremonies were so I didn't define it.
Blame me, but leave it to the voters to decide! S-

Big guy, my brother, many thanks for your willingness to vote for a photograph of mine, but I won't be having any photographs to enter into the "Ceremony" competition. :)
By the way, the information you have provided about a ceremony pretty much says it all and my hat is off to you for making a closing statement for this case ! :)
Best regards,

St3v3M, no fault no blame ! You always do a fine job doing that which you do, although; many of our members have twisted your original intent whereby it might have been a better idea for you to have created a contest permitting any theme of photograph be entered into the contest whereby the winning title given the photograph becomes the winner of the contest ! :):):)::)
Be well and best regards,
