This wedding was a Classic Barn wedding. In fact it was a working horse ranch. The took the horses, put them in the fields and cleaned and decorated the barn. The smells brought me back to the old days working on the farm in Greenpoint Brooklyn (LOL).

It was beyond 'rustic' and was really great. I am working thought the pictures when I can actually sit in this chair and ran across this one. This is so them it great. He had that stout serious face on all day, unsmiling, I was wondering how the pics were going to come out. He pulled it off!!!

The dad also had a custom coupe he drove her up in which we used later as a prop.

Thanks, 10:15AM appointment this Friday. I was supposed to fly to Singapore in two weeks for work. Had to cancel. Could not sit on the 22 hours plane ride.

Very nice looking couple, and car. So glad you survived the wedding, hope it didn't do you in too much.

I've had the "poopyface" groom thing happen as well. You can only do what you can do. It's something that I like to discuss during our pre wedding meetings. Letting them know that they want to convey how happy they are to be getting such an awesome woman to put up with them for the rest of their lives, they don't need to look like they are ready for a bar fight.

Last year, I had a wedding on a golf course, and the bride actually cried at one of the photos, it really was a grab shot, but it was the first time she had ever seen him smile in a photo. She actually ended up getting an 11x14 made of a photo I almost culled.

It wasn't so 'poopy' as much as it was that stereotype lone man on his horse riding the range alone. It seems typical of the male populace of the farming districts. It is a look though. If one can pull it off it works. when the girls picked him up and had him horizontal, he was laughing.

One I worked up thanks to Google's free EFX give away. You gotta love people. Everyone in my family said 'cancel'. I know this sounds korny, but being from Brooklyn, and in the age I grew up there, we never say die. When I showed up at the wedding, I told the girl my situation, and the amount of drugs I had in me to allow me to stand. Told her jokingly that if she was in this condition she would have cancelled her wedding. I would not. Her review on Thumbtack....'Nice Pictures, stayed with us all day.' That last part of the single line comment was because in her contract she mis-quoted the time and said the end was at 4PM, it was really 8PM. We stayed. Maybe I am greedy, but I would think after what I did a few more words would have been nice. I have been laughing at her comment, which hurts my back. </sigh>

My assistant liked the antique look picture. The magic of actions.

Yeah, those reviews are sometimes frustrating. You want them, but they are never as good as you think they should be.

You did a really great job, and should be proud.

Not many people would have stuck with it, especially the extra 4 hours!

Take care of the back, my friend.

Nice job Bobbee. I have gotten used to the confident closed smile look. Well, that sounds better than poopy anyway. Sometimes people are who they are and they look best as they are. At least you caught him laughing while being tossed by the girls.

Keep up the good fight with your back. I am 4 months out of lower back surgery and struggled prior to that doing weddings. It sucks that it takes my nimble acrobatic abilities away. I don't know if I got better shots, but usually got good expressions :)
