This Saturday in Daytona Beach there is an amzing collection of vintage and luxuary automobiles, almost 1000 cars so if fyou are within driving distance you are in for a treat.

The pics attached are of a 1959 Mercury Monteray. It was parked at McDonalds so had to take lighting etc as it came , no winners but sure some of you will enjoy looking.

The set is dedicated to the love of my life, often reffered to Taillight Tilde, Theresa, or tilde531

Those were the days. Back when cars were rolling works of art. Now I can't tell one from another. Was a time when styles changed every year with dramatic changes every other year. Remember when you could order the power train as an option? My first car a Plymouth with a 426 Hemi. It wasn't a driving experience, it was a flying close to the ground experience.

Well said. 2 great examples are in the latest Cadillacs and Mercedes offerings. They look exactly like Kias and Hyundai cars, noting wrong wit the later 2 but I always associate the former 2 as "Luxuary" vehicles. Not so anymore.

I love old car photos, glad you took all the detail shots. Cars were definitely different then now most look the same.

How simple it was. And, because we didn't have GPS we may seen more of the roads less traveled. I wouldn't say that we traveled at a lesser speed however, I seem to remember winding up a Buick I was trying out to 115 mph just for fun. You are right, they were classy and still are.

Thanks for the memories.
