I'm kind of torn on which image I like better. I know each of you fellow UHH members have in the past helped me out with your opinions........I need your opinion on this one also.

They are both beautiful, but number two for sure! S-

#2 for me also as the subject is not so "isolated"

No 2 fella the brush work on No 1 is about as subtle as a concrete block lol.
Nice idea seen similar done and the area outside the frame had opacity reduced and that looked pretty cool or a different blend mode combined with opacity outside the frame?

I think of #1 as a stylized "how to" or "how not to" - study of rock climbing technique.

For #2 I get the emotional response of "Is he crazy?!" :) Great impact and interest in this man vs. nature image.

I'll confuse the issue by saying something between 1 and 2 Brent.

Thanks Steve for your input. After reading everyone's thoughts it seems like #2 is the one I should go with. Sometimes I get to close to the forest to see the trees!

Being an artist can be difficult. You put your heart and soul into it, but at the same time you need to step back and objectively evaluate your work.

Be true to who you are! S-

Billy, thanks for your response. I did a second layer of all white and erased out the center portion with a feathered brush. Then worked the opacity till I liked it.

Thanks Linda for your thoughts on this problem. I'm a climber myself and we are not really crazy. It's all about knowing what you are capable of and being safe as you climb. No one really has a death wish like some people think! lol

No confusion going on at all Frank.....everyone has their own opinions and you certainly have a right to yours too! Thanks for checking it out.

Thanks Dave for liking it very much. I used the same image to create another version of this climber that you may enjoy also.

Yeah Steve, sometimes I do step back and objectively evaluate the work, but then sometimes the trees seem to grow even higher!
