My wife's uncle had and enormous outdoor train display set up in his yard. There were multiple tracks and they were integrated with the shrubs and the garden. He ran both electric and steam and most of the equipment he built in his basement. This man was amazing; he could barely read or write due to really bad dyslexia but he could play multiple music instruments and make just about anything by hand.
I bet he he was amazing. I had a neighbor like that and he built #1 gauge steam and electric. He had a lathe and a Bridgeport and went to town; and everything worked! Amazing. Hell, I can't even play the stereo.
