MakuaMan Loc: Waianae, Hi.

I have just spent hour after hour trying to contact Corel concerning some questions I have about PSPX4 which I purchased as an update to PSPX3 which came installed on my HP laptop.BTW,X3 was not free by any means as included software in any purchase only leads to higher prices on the product,in this case a HP Pavillion Laptop which was almost $900.00 anyway.

To make your user interface so diffacult if not impossible to get through for some of us who may not be that competent with computers to start with is rediculous. After all they have been paid for their product's and in my opinion should support them without charge when there are problems especially if they want return business.

Trying to charge $58.00 just to ask a question about issues concerning said software when certain extras that were supposed to be included were not and when you can't even access their user guide much less talk with a representive in person is reprehensable IMHO.Also after chating on line with someone who has no answers but to send you to some other web page which is impossible to navagate is not user friendly at all.

I for one am tired of being SCAM'D after paying good money for any product.!!!

This has been a big waste of time, again IMHO.I am too old and tired to have my time waisted this way.

Any constructive comment's or idea's would be much appreciated.

Mahalo for your time and Aloha

I would contact the business you bought it from and let them know what kind of service you getting or not getting. I bought a pc from QVC and 1 month before the warranty ran out it crashed. Pc said it was QVC and QVC said it was pc's. I wrote down every call, time and who I spoke to. Got on employee of QVC and was told they couldn't do anything, BUT, when I hung up, to call back and ask for the VP of QVC. Within 30 minutes of that call, pc called and started the process of getting my pc fixed. Good luck.

Sorry about that. Let them know you are going to contact the BBB. They don't want to get negative reports on their list. BBB=Better Business Bureau, then look up address on internet, usually located in capitol of each state. We bought my hubby some uniforms once and the shirts didn't fit. I sent them back and ordered right size. The company sent new ones but never gave us credit for the returned ones. They kept trying to collect and I refused to pay. Called them and they said I'd returned them on such and such day, told them to credit the return. They played dumb. They sold our account to a collection agency and they sent letter saying they had bought our over due account. I wrote them back that "Ha ha, if they bought the account, good luck". Told them what happened and to check with BBB for report and I never heard from them again. Just be sure you keep records of sale and every comversation trnsaction you made. Good luck.

Let them know, unusual to have a good company turn after 20+ years. Ask to talk to the manager also, sometimes they hire people that are not qualified to give all correct answers. Let manager know you will be contacting the BBB.

What's your problem with Corel. Not the problem that nobody from Corel will talk to you but Your problem with the software. You stated there are things missing, what things?

Have you asked yourself what you may have done wrong. Such as is the software compatible with your hardware. Have you registered your software with Corel?

Try this:

http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewforum.php?f=56

Right now PSP X4 costs all of $39 ($29 as an upgrade). Which is really low for what one gets. Even when it was first rolled out last year it was not that much. I do remember being prompted (asked) if I wanted to upgrade (pay an additional fee) for tech support when I installed the product, I declined but this seemed reasonable in regard to the purchase price of the software I got. The software didn't develop itself for free.

As far as BBB they are a scam operation in my opinion. After having been in business for a few years I get a call from them to join- for a $500 fee (a considerable sum back then) no vetting, no background check, just pay and I'm in. Kind of reminded me of paying insurance to the local Mafia or some kind of thing.

Anyways, try the Corel user forum I posted a link to, the answer may already be there, or be found there.

I have been using Corel products from day one, and PSP from when Jasc. was making it. I have always found Corel and easy company to do business with, I have had problems in the past but they were quick to resolve them, perhaps the person you were talking to was having a bad hair day.

There are books on PSP but I don't know if there is one for X4 yet. Why don't you ask your questions here about the problems you're having with PSP and see if the group can help. If not, try looking for a usergroup just for PSP users. Try Youtube for videos. or buy a book.
