The anhingas are white and fluffy, and the great blue herons are growing fast. One nest was almost blown out of the tree in a storm, but the mother kept sitting on the egg, and they managed to move the chick back up to the top of the tree and rebuild the nest.
Anhinga babies
Same nest
BIG babies!
Nest almost blown out of the tree
Nest rebuilt and baby relocated
Enjoyed these photos a lot, Steve!
Great progress report Steve. I didn't know Anhinga chicks were so light colored. Very nice captures.

Thanks, Carol - I was surprised at how white and fluffy they were when I first saw them.
