I got to see the mama & papa but the nest just isn't in an area where you can see the babies very well. I was able to see them on the 15th of April (saw two heads) thru a spotting scope & my husband saw a wing flap on Sunday the 29th when we went back. My camera can barely do justice to the mature Eagles but I just wanted to share. They are such beautiful creatures :)
Wow! Not bad for the distance you seemed to be shooting from. Are you using a P&S? I can just barely see the parent eagles way up on the left in the first picture. I could only see them in the downloaded view. I actually think the distance and perspective add to the shot.
thanks a bunch! ;)
yup.... still using that P&S - still waiting to get my a77 - I hope to WOW myself but I sure hope I can WOW others, as well, with the pictures I take with it. :D
Well spotted MissStephie.Thanks for sharing.
thanks angler - I was so bummed when I couldn't even see the babies. mom & dad were no where to be found, then my hubby points them out to me..... these where the best out of about 200 or so - lol. ( I think he was makin' me sweat a lil'..... go figure) ;)
Not bad at all , Girl, for being so far away- and with a P&S!!
Thanks so much Molly, I appreciate it! :)

Hey your getting great shots. I am watching a nest where the parents are obviously feeding a chick but the little bugger isn't big enough to stick his head up high enough to see it yet. Soon I hope.
Very cool!
Always a thrill to see these magnificent birds in the wild isn't it?
Thanks belwj! & hope u get 2 see those lil ones soon ;)
Thank u sooo much 4 stopping by & commenting, SG ;) appreciate it very much!

Very exciting pictures, great job. That bird is something. Several years ago I was at Chamberlain South Dakota, at a rest station on I-90 overlooking the Missouri River atleast 1000 feet above the river and up several hundred feet above that were a half dozen eagles flying in various cirlces--what a scene. These birds are so magnificent.
