This wasn't "left" however. Our local TV meteorologist was very excited, because one doesn't normally see "lake effect" snow here in April, because that requires having the wind be colder than Lake Michigan. Since the lake cools slowly in the fall/winter {by having cool/cold wind blow over it}, then warms slowly in the spring/summer {by having warm/hot air blow over it}, we normally expect the "lake effect" machine to be turned off by now {which is why my wife was so upset at having to drive on the stuff}
