DakotaJW...downloaded,flipped,rotated..???? You mean you multiply them faster than nature? Thank you so much for identifying them, all i could find on the Internet were bulb growers offering their selections and these not included. People have been asking me what they are and couldn't tell them. I think they are worth revisiting later if not cut down as they have beautiful little dry seed pods and something artistic could be done with them.

I like it and could picture this hanging on a wall. Very pleasing and easy on the eyes.

Yes,docrob, unusual little flowers. I made a record shot recently to show they do not have tulip foliage,it is narrow, more like daffodils, and they bloom with the latter ,only in cooler weather and not on cloudy days. Mine came in an assortment of various spring-flowering bulbs from Walmart several yrs.ago, all of which were supposed to be white
About 3 wks.ago my email page was redesigned and has some problems such as having sent an email earlier today to someone, received about thumbnail size but showing about 5x7" on my monitor. Willtry to send my pic. here...
repeat, it is for identification, showing foliage, not art. If you find out what they are would appreciate letting me know.

They are 'miniature tulips' actually "diminutive tulip Tarda". Here's a link to some pics:http://www.123rf.com/photo_6908524_close-up-of-bee-on-diminutive-tulip-tarda.html
I have quite a few growing in my yard.
By the way, I downloaded, flipped then rotated your pic and to me the way you have is the best orientation. Lovely picture!

yep thats them - "tarda" thank you for that information and also for messing with the presentation - i do flip stuff often and go by an intuitive feel but with this one nothing clear was coming up and i did think it was a pretty cool pic.....

Beautiful, you were certainly right about the interior luminosity and you did a great job of capturing it. Much to like here.

Yeah, I've never seen them offered for sale either. The ones I have I got from the in-laws who were calling them crocuses.

Yes! Absolutely gorgeous, the interior light you saw shows up beautifully, and the yellow and green really compliment each other! Jen :)
