PS--Don't be alarmed by the imprinted date on the photos. I used a Kodak EasyShare camera and didn't bother to change the date. Besides that, the K-50 wasn't even made yet in 2007!

I own one and the K50 is a great camera. I consider it above entry level compared to other bands entry level cameras. For one thing itis fully weather sealed. Considering the 3 lenses included, this is a terrific price and if someone wants a starter camera for self or gifting, they can't do better than this.
