I've bought refurbished Nikon glass from both Nikon USA and Adorama with very satisfying results in both savings and quality. I'm currently looking to purchase a new portrait lens, and am wondering if KEH is a good company to deal with. Have any members had any experience dealing with KEH, and were your transactions handled professionally ? Would you do it again and/or recommend them to your friends ?

I purchased a 300mm Nikkor AI lens from them listed as in fair condition. It arrived and was in what I would call 9 out of 10 with pristine glass. I would definately buy from them again. KEH is a very good vendor.

KEH is my first place to search for what I want. They grade so that a bargain is to me at time very good in quality. If it is not what you thought it should be easy to return with no arguments. I have bought many items especially odd items that are not made but they have.
Look there first as it is in my mind the safest bet over other places then Ebay with a seller that allows returns.

I have purchased from KEH and I would do so again. I found that they rate the used gear in a generous manner. In other words, you can expect the condition to exceed their ratings. There is a very good business reason to do this: the cost to them of returned gear would hurt their bottom line AND they gain loyal customers AND build trust. It's a "win-win"….

My experience was excellent. I purchased my Canon EOS 50D from KEH and it was rated EX+. It appeared to be very lightly used and everything was in great working order and still is after 2 years. As others have commented, they tend to under rate their equipment and as far as my experience is concerned they over deliver.

I have been dealing with KEH for over 20 years....They are VERY conservative with their rating system so that even BARGAIN would be rated by a lot of EBAY sellers as excellent or higher.. KEH usually carries a free warranty of some good length of time. If you use a phone order, their representatives are very, very courteous....Their on line ordering is fairly simple at KEH.com.

They do have an EBAY KEH Store listing area that I have found sometimes they will have shipping prices that are less expensive for some reason than KEH.COM or the phone order method after you have identified something on line.

I have ordered a considerable amount of film and digital cameras, accessories, and lenses from them and check their listings nearly daily.

I prefer "used" from KEH vs EBAY (except the KEH EBAY Store)....

I look on AMAZON.com now also for 3rd party used gear as a point of comparison as well since Amazon backs up what you do with their 3rd party vendors and ordering is simplified obviously because you never go outside of Amazon's ordering system/protocols.

KEH is one of the good guys out there for used equipment...and always fun to cruise through their pages of equipment if you are into collecting cameras on top of using them.

Yes, very good. They under-rate their used gear, so what you get will be better than you expect. If you don't like it, return it.
